Stacking the Shelves #2

Hey everyone! This is my second Stacking the Shelves!
STSmall

Stacking The Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. If you’re anything like me, you are probably hoarding books and even though you are excited about your latest book arrival, it might be a while before you get to review it. And this I'll be doing every Saturday. Just so you know it started over @ Tynga's Reviews.

Forever my Girl by Heidi McLaughlin

I have this on my to-read shelf at the moment. I've bought the book and want to review it for Monday February 4th 2013. At least, that's the plan. No guarantees.

Synopsis:

I was never supposed to be a rock star. I had my life all planned out for me. Play football in college. Go to the NFL. Marry my high school sweetheart and live happily ever after.

I broke both our hearts that day when I told her I was leaving. I was young. I made the right decision for me, but the wrong decision for us. I’ve poured my soul into my music, but I’ve never forgotten her. Her smell, her smile.

And now I’m going back.

After ten years.

I hope I can explain that after all this time.

I still want her to be my forever girl.

Free Four by Veronica Roth

Technically I've already read this book. And technically, it's a novella, I think. But who needs to get technical? Let's just all be relative. So I've read this. I just haven't reviewed it yet. But I will. It's going to be posted on Friday February 8th 2013.

Synopsis:

#1 New York Times bestselling author Veronica Roth retells a pivotal Divergent scene (chapter 13) from Tobias's point of view. This thirteen-page scene reveals unknown facts and fascinating details about Four's character, his past, his own initiation, and his thoughts about new Dauntless initiate Tris Prior.

Prodigy by Marie Lu

I didn't realize I pre-ordered this book, but it suddenly popped up on my Kindle. So I'll try to squeeze it into my schedule. But I'm booked for the entire month of February, so it'll have to be reviewed in March. But I'll probably read it supper fast. I loved the first one, and I plan on reading this one soon.

Synopsis:

June and Day arrive in Vegas just as the unthinkable happens: the Elector Primo dies, and his son Anden takes his place. With the Republic edging closer to chaos, the two join a group of Patriot rebels eager to help Day rescue his brother and offer passage to the Colonies. They have only one request—June and Day must assassinate the new Elector.

It’s their chance to change the nation, to give voice to a people silenced for too long.

But as June realizes this Elector is nothing like his father, she’s haunted by the choice ahead. What if Anden is a new beginning? What if revolution must be more than loss and vengeance, anger and blood—what if the Patriots are wrong?

In this highly-anticipated sequel, Lu delivers a breathtaking thriller with high stakes and cinematic action.

Yes, that's the end of this week's Stacking the Shelves for me. I have some pretty cool plans, but I'm super busy so I need to get them done otherwise I'll run out of time. That and I don't want to get into next week's Stacking the Shelves. I've already planned the books out. Pat on the back for not procrastinating!

P.S. Happy Groundhog Day!

Nice haul. Forever My Girl looks interesting. Been seeing it a lot of places right now. I think there's a blog tour for it. Interesting choices. I see you like Distyopians as well. My STS will be up later.

Hey, there! I'm a new follower. Nice purchases!! I've never heard of "Forever My Girl", but love the synopsis, so I've already added it to my TBR shelf on Goodreads, as well as to my Amazon wish list. Ditto with "Prodigy", which I've heard a lot of great things about!! As for "Free Four", I hope it comes out in print at some point in the future, since I don't read ebooks. Thanks for sharing, and enjoy your books!! :)

I love comments! So don't hesitate to share your thoughts. Leave your blog/website name and link so I can get back to you. And if you're a new follower, tell me. Note that this is an award-free zone. I loved getting awards and I was pleased you guys thought I was special, but I was nominated so many times and it took a lot of time to do the award posts, time that I don't have. So thanks, but no thanks.

Happy reading!
