"Waiting On" Wednesday is a weekly event, started @ Breaking the Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating.

I strongly dislike the cover for this book. I've read all of the books in this series with their original covers, before they combined the books. So I detest this cover. Unfortunately, theres not much I can do about it. Though you shouldn't judge a book by its cover. So I will love this book once it comes out despite its hideous cover.

13644055Publisher: Entangled Teen
Release Date: August 5th 2014
Genre: Young Adult Sci-Fi Romance
Series: Lux #5
Katy knows the world changed the night the Luxen came.
She can't believe Daemon welcomed his race or stood by as his kind threatened to obliterate every last human and hybrid on Earth. But the lines between good and bad have blurred, and love has become an emotion that could destroy her—could destroy them all.

Daemon will do anything to save those he loves, even if it means betrayal.

They must team with an unlikely enemy if there is any chance of surviving the invasion. But when it quickly becomes impossible to tell friend from foe, and the world is crumbling around them, they may lose everything— even what they cherish most—to ensure the survival of their friends…and mankind.

War has come to Earth. And no matter the outcome, the future will never be the same for those left standing.

I can see your point about the covers. I haven't read the first books but I have seen the difference in covers and I must say I like the originals better. It sounds like an interesting series though. Hope you read this one soon :)

Happy Wednesday!

I actually haven't read this series yet so I love that she's coming out out with these since it's two in each book...but I absolutely HATE the covers. The originals were so much better and matched with the books...But I still can't wait for this one to add to my collection and finally read this series lol

I have to agree with you. These covers are horrid. I wonder who decided they were a good idea to change them. I mean the old ones weren't great either, but this is just plain bad.
Anyways, I hope you will love the ending of the series when it comes out! :)

This reminds me that I still need to read this series (I bought the whole set because I wanted the old covers). I tried reading Obsidian once, but I just couldn't get into it. But I want to try the series again. :)

I agree about the cover. This is a series I ending up quitting, but the covers on the other books were far better than this one.

I love comments! So don't hesitate to share your thoughts. Leave your blog/website name and link so I can get back to you. And if you're a new follower, tell me. Note that this is an award-free zone. I loved getting awards and I was pleased you guys thought I was special, but I was nominated so many times and it took a lot of time to do the award posts, time that I don't have. So thanks, but no thanks.

Happy reading!
