This book was not what I'm used to... but stunning all the same. The cover is gorgeous, and the character development is great. You can't change a character that much in one book and still have her be the same without some serious talent.

Under the Never Sky is the story of Aria, a girl who has lived inside the pods her whole life, and Perry, an Outsider and fierce hunter and warrior. Two people from two very different worlds who meet the one night everything changes.

Aria is thrown out when some other kids and her go to the surface of the pod, still inside but in a area forbidden. A raging fire is lit that kills three people, one of them being Aria's best friend. Perry is up to his own mischief, breaking into the damaged pod and gets there in the nick of time to save Aria.

Of course, only Aria and the Counsel's son survive. It's his word against hers. And so Aria is thrown out into a world she doesn't recognize and fears. Yet again, Perry reluctantly saves Aria. And that's where their journey begins, for both of them to find their way.

Okay, I loved this book. Perry was hot and Roar was awesome. I'm going to name my first born after him. Well, maybe not. Maybe their middle name or nickname can be Roar. Anyways, to say at the very least this book was a thrill ride.

Aria changed so much in this story. She developed from a scared little girl to someone fierce and strong; independent. And Perry loved in a soft, quiet sort of way. It was very subtle.

I've already explained how much I love Roar. He is amazing. The mental image I conjure up is hot, hot, HOTT! And his name, god his name is so... ahhhhhhhhh! I kind of wish it were Roar and Aria. But I do like Perry too, so I see why it's Perry not Roar. But Roar is just... *deep, lustful sigh*

Overall, book was superb. Couldn't have asked for a better story to keep me reading. Way to go Veronica Rossi!

Synopsis:

WORLDS KEPT THEM APART.

DESTINY BROUGHT THEM TOGETHER.

Aria has lived her whole life in the protected dome of Reverie. Her entire world confined to its spaces, she's never thought to dream of what lies beyond its doors. So when her mother goes missing, Aria knows her chances of surviving in the outer wasteland long enough to find her are slim.

Then Aria meets an outsider named Perry. He's searching for someone too. He's also wild - a savage - but might be her best hope at staying alive.

If they can survive, they are each other's best hope for finding answers.

Hey everyone! So I know I read this ages and ages ago, meaning about a year ago, but I re-read it for the Young Adult Book Bloggers Club. It was our book for this month, so I thought, what the heck, I loved this book. And I didn't have a review for this book anyway. So there you go.

Haha! I love the comment about naming your first born after Roar. I loved Roar too. I also loved Perry because he was so real. I was a little disappointed in Aria because I didn't feel like she was developed as well or feel connected to her as much. I did really like the book and finished in 2 days. I also had to move on to the second because I couldn't wait :-)

I definitely agree that Aria changed, she became much stronger in order to survive on the outside. I just couldn't connect with her much, I thought she was lacking emotion at times. Great review, thanks for doing the club this month!

There were great characters, Perry, Roar and Cinder, very interesting and different. I loved Perry and I'm glad they end up together, I like Roar but in a different way, I'm sure he'll find Liv, or I hope he does and they'll make a great couple. I agree with Alise, Aria was weird most of the time but it was an awesome thing the author did with her.

It really rocked ;)

No problem! And I suppose it was harder to connect with her than with Perry...

I love comments! So don't hesitate to share your thoughts. Leave your blog/website name and link so I can get back to you. And if you're a new follower, tell me. Note that this is an award-free zone. I loved getting awards and I was pleased you guys thought I was special, but I was nominated so many times and it took a lot of time to do the award posts, time that I don't have. So thanks, but no thanks.

Happy reading!
