"Waiting On" Wednesday is a weekly event, started @ Breaking the Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating.

The House of Hades (Heroes of Olympus, #4)

Release date: October 8th 2013

At the conclusion of The Mark of Athena, Annabeth and Percy tumble into a pit leading straight to the Underworld. The other five demigods have to put aside their grief and follow Percy’s instructions to find the mortal side of the Doors of Death. If they can fight their way through the Gaea’s forces, and Percy and Annabeth can survive the House of Hades, then the Seven will be able to seal the Doors both sides and prevent the giants from raising Gaea. But, Leo wonders, if the Doors are sealed, how will Percy and Annabeth be able to escape?

They have no choice. If the demigods don’t succeed, Gaea’s armies will never die. They have no time. In about a month, the Romans will march on Camp Half-Blood. The stakes are higher than ever in this adventure that dives into the depths of Tartarus.

Oh, and a little fun thing I want to share. I happen to have eleven chickens, and two of them are this gorgeous reddish brown with speckled white spots, and can you guess what their names are? Hades and Lucifer of course! Hehe. This book reminds me of them.

I'm still a book behind, but I love these books! I guess I have until October to get it together and catch back up. Great pick :)

I love comments! So don't hesitate to share your thoughts. Leave your blog/website name and link so I can get back to you. And if you're a new follower, tell me. Note that this is an award-free zone. I loved getting awards and I was pleased you guys thought I was special, but I was nominated so many times and it took a lot of time to do the award posts, time that I don't have. So thanks, but no thanks.

Happy reading!
