The first thing I thought when I began reading CIRCLE OF LIES was that Teagan and Aidan are really suited for each other. They seem like the perfect match. They balance each other out. The second thing I thought was yikes, Peter is a nutshell. Way worse then Kendall.

Let's back up a bit. I'll give you the rundown on the book. It's from three different people's point of view: Teagan (she's human), Aidan (werewolf), and Peter (he's lost his marbles). Aidan meet's Taegan for the first time, and whadaya know. He's hooked. Teagan, unfortunately, has been burned by a hot guy before, and has lost the ability to trust most people. Her home life makes some people's look like royalty.

For a big part of this book Aidan is trying to woo Taegan because hey, he's all about this girl. Teagan is a skeptic when it comes to love and hot guys. Who can blame her? And then there's Peter. His uncle died in front of him after being torn to pieces by a werewolf. And Peter went off the deep end, losing his marbles along the way. Now he wants to wipe out all werewolves.

If you haven't read PACK OF LIES, the first book, then I'd sugest you do that before continuing to read. If you have read PACK OF LIES, you know a) Marcus is an ass and b) Cade and Aidan are brothers. Now that causes for some series drama. Everyone of these characters carries around some serious baggage.

I guess the things that I loved about this book were the way the authors made you both love and hate some of the characters. At some points in the book I just wanted to shake Teagan. And Aidan, please, as my friend would say 'Put your big girl panties on and move on.' Peter gave me the chills. I don't think I ever loved his character, though I could understand where he was coming from and pitied him more than hated him.

When you read this book you'll see all of the dynamics involving the characters, and the way the story is put together. You can appriciate that. The characters from the previous book and this one were one and the same, but now you ge to meet the other characters and see things from their points of view, and their minds eye.

I really hope you consider reading this book. I know it was a joyous read that I loved and I can't wait for the next one.

I think this book had a bit of a rough start. But as it went on I really started to get into it. I love werewolf books, and this is no exception.

The book started off a little unusual and unrealistic, but gradually the story became structured and believable. I think the hardest part for any bookie the beginning.

So, Alli and Cade? Huh. And Kendall. What. A. Bitch. The world doesn't vented around you, honey, and you totally got what you deserved. She, I mean she. Sorry, I forget that character only exist in books sometimes. Okay, most of the time.

Let me some it up for you. Alli has crap friends and jealous nut heads for peers. She is a half-were and doesn't know it and she beats the tofu out of one of said nut heads and her mother blurts it out for her.

Her mother explains how she left her pack to be with the human she loved. They go to her old pack and Alli meets Cade. Sparks fly. But Cade has a Bitch girlfriend named Kendall.

The rest of the story you can read about. But I will give you the rundown on the main characters. That way you can see why I like Alli and think the rest are a little floozy.

Alli - she's pretty awesome. She's not afraid to give people their shit right back. When nut heads go psycho on her she gives them hell. When her brother doesn't defend her she gives it to him straight. When Kendall makes s fool out of a her she shows Kendall who she's needing with. Finally, a female protagonist who isn't a damsel in distress. Well, except for the last part, but that's understandable.

Aiden - he needs to learn to take better care of his sister. Ditching her like that to his pig friends instead of standing up for her was low. And he's supposed to be her best friend.

Cade - okay, he's a really weak to-be alpha. I mean seriously, he needs to stand up for what he wants and if he wants Alli he has a cowardly way of showing it.

Kendall - I say she's a Bitch but really, shes just pathetic. If my mother expected me to do all that crazy stuff I'd tell her to take a hike.

So now you see why Alli is my favorite character.

Synopsis:

The last thing Allison Wright ever expected when she moved to Red Ridge, New Mexico was to come muzzle to muzzle with the wolf of her dreams.

Seventeen-year-old Allison Wright is convinced she’s losing her mind. Uncontrollable mood swings, hot flashes, and the urge to punch anyone who gets in her way are suddenly becoming everyday occurrences. Before her erratic behavior gets out of hand, Allison’s mother finally comes clean about her dark secret. Mom is a werewolf, and soon Allison and her brother Aiden will suffer the same fate. When Allison reaches her breaking point, the family leaves their life in Texas to move to Red Ridge, New Mexico where they rejoin the pack that Allison’s mother left behind almost 20 years ago.

Unfortunately, not everyone in Red Ridge is thrilled about Allison’s arrival, especially when she attracts the attention of the very handsome, very taken, soon-to-be alpha, Cade Walker. Little does Allison know, her mere presence is causing a rift in a once unified pack. Not only has Cade been forbidden from being with Allison by his father, the pack’s alpha, Cade’s girlfriend, Kendall Stuart, will stop at nothing to get Allison out of the picture. Well on her way to becoming the next alpha’s mate, Kendall expects to rule the pack by Cade’s side even if it means teaming up with a rogue werewolf with an agenda of his own. Determined to get rid of Allison permanently, when Kendall and the rogue join forces, all hell breaks loose and no one in the pack is safe, especially not Cade and his true mate.
