Dark Kiss by Michelle Rowen

Dark Kiss (Nightwatchers, #1)Dark Kiss by Michelle Rowen
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
didn't like it it was ok liked it really liked it (my current rating) it was amazing

Publisher: Harlequin Teen
Date Published: May 22nd 2012
Genre: Young Adult Paranormal Romance

The first thing I loved about this book was the cover. It was the first thing I noticed when browsing Goodreads. The second thing I noticed about this book was the name. Did you guys know that there is a whole line of products called Dark Kiss? Lotion, shower gel, bubble bath, etc. And they happen to be my favorite.

And then when I started reading I fell in love with the story. Michelle Rowen really knows how to keep us interested. I kept wanting to know more, read more, and fall into the story a bit more.

Samantha is your regular teenage girl with an unattainable crush. And then her crush kisses her... and unleashes freaky powers within her. Samantha meets Bishop, lost and confused, and helps him find someone lost. It gets really good then. Because he stabs the new guy with a golden dagger.

I thought this book was pretty awesome. It has everything I love in it. Romance, check. Paranormal/supernatural, check. Evil bitches, check. Awesome heroes, check. Little twists, check. Cocky/arrogant guys, check. Yup. Everything I love in YA is in this book.

Synopsis:

I don't do dangerous.

Smart, über-careful, ordinary Samantha-that's me. But I just couldn't pass up a surprise kiss from my number-one unattainable crush. A kiss that did something to me...something strange. Now I feel hungry all the time, but not for food. It's like part of me is missing-and I don't know if I can get it back.

Then there's Bishop. At first I thought he was just a street kid, but the secrets he's keeping are as intense as his unearthly blue eyes. If he's what I think he is, he may be the only one who can help me. But something terrifying is closing in, and the one chance Bishop and I have to stop it means losing everything I ever wanted and embracing the darkness inside me....

NIGHTWATCHERS

When angels and demons must work together, something beyond evil is rising...

I love comments! So don't hesitate to share your thoughts. Leave your blog/website name and link so I can get back to you. And if you're a new follower, tell me. Note that this is an award-free zone. I loved getting awards and I was pleased you guys thought I was special, but I was nominated so many times and it took a lot of time to do the award posts, time that I don't have. So thanks, but no thanks.

Happy reading!
